Dr. Pat McGrath, D.V.M.

Owner/Veterinarian

I was born and raised in Louisville, KY and knew from an early age I wanted to become a Veterinarian. I graduated from Trinity High School and went to Auburn University for my undergraduate work. I was accepted into the College Of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn and graduated in 1992. I had many varied Pre-veterinary experiences with animals working at the Louisville Zoo, assisting with open heart surgery in dogs and working on the sense of smell in drug and bomb detection dogs. I have enjoyed being a general practitioner in Tennessee and Georgia and finally in 1994, Kentucky. At that time, my wife and I moved to Bowling Green, coming back to our home state. I met my wife, Dr. Vicky Owens, while in Veterinary School. We have practiced together for over 20 years and opened All Creatures Animal Hospital 26 years ago, 3 weeks after out first child was born! We have a house and a farm, two sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law, dogs and a herd of Boer goats!, I served as a volunteer firefighter for 23 years, the last 16 years with Alvaton Fire Department. I loved every minute of it. My firefighting led to many interesting professional experiences, including assisting veterinarians in disaster planning and management, I have served at the State level on the KVMA Disaster preparedness committee. I can honestly say that I feel lucky to come to work and treat all the animals that come through our door. My interests in practicing veterinary medicine are soft tissue surgery, emergency medicines cases, and pain management. As part of my continuing education I spent over a year becoming certified in Acupuncture in 2015 It has been wonderful to become a part of the Bowling Green community and get to know so many families. We understand your pets are you family members and feel honored to be given the awesome responsibility of taking care of them.

Dr. Vicky Owens McGrath, D.V.M.

Owner/Veterinarian

I always wanted to be a veterinarian from the time I could say the word and understand what it was, somewhere around age 5. Fortunately, I was able to follow through on that dream. I was raised in Versailles, KY and graduated from the University of KY (GO CATS!) with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Animal Science.

In 1994 I graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, Auburn, Alabama. (WAR EAGLE!) My husband and I both fell in love with the Bowling Green area and have lived here since 1994. We were blessed to open our own practice in 1997, 3 weeks after our daughter was born! As our practice has grown so has our family, with two sons, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law and a grandaughter on the way!

Our animal family currently includes dogs, a cat and a herd of Boer goats.

I enjoy volunteering at our church and our children’s school. Over the years, I have been a 4-H leader and livestock volunteer. I love to read, spend time on our farm and watch our children’s sports activities.

There have been many memorable experiences in my veterinary career, fortunately, mostly good ones. We are rewarded on a daily basis with great clients and their pets and I enjoy getting to know their families.

I have been involved in organized veterinary medicine at the state level by serving on the Executive Board of the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association. I also enjoy promoting agriculture through various organizations. I have served as President of our state association and also am involved with the AU college of Vet Medicine Alumni Advisory board.

I enjoy the diversity of my job! I treat reptiles, birds, dogs, cats, rodents, goats – you name it! It keeps my job exciting and keeps me on my toes learning about different species. My special interests recently are ultrasound and endoscopy.

I am fortunate to love what I do and would choose the same if I had to do it all over again. This is a profession that allows me to practice medicine and be with animals, what could be better!

Dr. Marcus Wisdom, D.V.M.

Associate Veterinarian

I was born and raised in Greensburg, KY on a beef and dairy farm. Even though I had this background I was not pursuing veterinary medicine when I attended Western Kentucky University. After a year and a half at WKU I decided to make the transition to the pre-vet program. Shortly after my change to the pre-vet program I took a job as a student with Dr. Pat and Dr. Vicky, which was in 1998.

After graduating from WKU in 2001 I started at Auburn University. While there I concentrated on large animal medicine, even though I now treat small animals mostly. While at Auburn I also started riding motorcycles and became a member of Heaven’s Saints Motorcycle Ministry. Now that I am home in Kentucky again I serve here as the Kentucky State Rep for the ministry. My spare time is spent at rallies and events, whether local or a good ride away, helping people and showing them the love of Christ.

I graduated from Auburn in 2005 and returned to Bowling Green to work with Dr. Pat and Dr. Vicky as a doctor. I am fortunate enough to have finally gotten married in the fall of 2007. My wife Katie and I live in Woodburn with our three children. We enjoy this area and still being close to family.

It has been a great experience to be in this profession, and to have started in this clinic as a student and now to be a doctor. Daily we get to experience great clients and their family -0iomembers, and it is fulfilling to be here to help our clients in whatever way needed.

Dr. Sarah Fredrick, D.V.M.

Associate Veterinarian

Hello! I am Dr. Sarah. I have been an Associate Veterinarian for the All Creatures Family since I graduated in 2014 . I was born and raised in Madisonville, KY. I attended WKU (Go Big Red!) for my undergraduate degree and then Auburn University for vet school.

I love working with dogs, cats, and exotics. Surgeries on critters of all sizes, from tiny hamsters to giant breed dogs are my favorite things to do and I love canine and feline dentistry! I like good medicine cases too, where I can assist clients in helping their pet feel the best they can and promoting the human-animal bond.

My husband and I have a daughter, who you may see running around here most days after school. She currently says she wants to be a Veterinarian when she grows up too (we'll see). We have a mini Labradoodle named Poppy, a mini long-haired Dachshund named Rooby (she belongs to my daughter), and a handsome Maine Coon monster cat named Killian.

When I an not at work, I like reading, walking our critters (Killian comes sometimes too), swimming, and playing card or board games.

I look forward to getting to know you and your pets!

Sydney Penrose

Veterinary Assistant

Born and raised in Warren County, Kentucky, I was fortunate enough to grow up on a mini-farm that included everything from chickens to donkeys. From an early age, I knew that my passion for animals was more than a fleeting childhood experience. This passion led me to pursue employment and education in the field of veterinary services.

In 2022, I enrolled in Penn Foster's Veterinary Technician program and am currently pursuing my degree. I have worked as a veterinary assistant and student vet tech, and in clinic administration over the past five years. I started working at All Creatures Animal Hospital in June, 2023. Being a point of support for animals, and having the opportunity to be surrounded by others who share a passion for animals, is a dream job. Not a day goes by that I don't learn something new and experience a renewal of the passion I feel for animals, and those who love and care for them. Every day I get to work around animals is a gift.
