Dr. Pat McGrath, D.V.M.

I was born and raised in Louisville, KY and knew from an early age I wanted to become a Veterinarian. I graduated from Trinity High School and went to Auburn University for my undergraduate work. I was accepted into the College Of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn and graduated in 1992. I had many
varied Pre-veterinary experiences with animals working at the Louisville Zoo, assisting with open heart surgery in dogs and working on the sense of
smell in drug and bomb detection dogs. I have enjoyed being a general practitioner in Tennessee and Georgia and finally in 1994, Kentucky. At
that time, my wife and I moved to Bowling Green, coming back to our home state. I met my wife, Dr. Vicky Owens, while in Veterinary School. We have
practiced together for over 20 years and opened All Creatures Animal Hospital 21 years ago, 3 weeks after out first child was born! We have a
house and farm full of 3 wonderful children, many dogs and cats and a herd of Boer goats, I served as a volunteer firefighter for 23 years, the last
16 years with Alvaton Fire Department. I loved every minute of it. My firefighting led to many interesting professional experiences, including
assisting veterinarians in disaster planning and management, I have served at the State level on the KVMA Disaster preparedness committee. I can
honestly say that I feel lucky to come to work and treat all the animals that come through our door. My interests in practicing veterinary medicine
are soft tissue surgery, emergency medicines cases, and pain management. As part of my continuing education I spent over a year becoming certified in Acupuncture in 2015 It has been wonderful to become a part of the Bowling Green community and get to know so many families. We understand your pets are you family members and feel honored to be given the awesome responsibility of taking care of them.
